I’m NOT cool that M.I.A. remade this song. Some things are best left untouched.

Yes, my Field Notes finally arrived yesterday. Even though they’re a bit smaller than I expected, I have to admit it’s the compact size that makes them wonderful. I purchased the 3pk. (1 lined for writing, 1 graph lined and 1 blank); hell, Coudal Partners even threw in a free pen, pencil and wall calendar! I can’t wait to test them out… uhh, in the field.

I received my box of Andrews & Dunham Damn Fine Tea series 1 earlier today. As if I wasn’t excited enough about the tea arriving the box that it shipped in was captivating (to me at least). I could be wrong, but it appears to be a 2 color silk screen pattern and logo on the box. It had a satin tactile texture when you ran your fingers over it and I’ll be damned if that is fantastic! Inside of the box were the 3 teas featured in series 1: Ceylon, Nepal and Dragonwell; each in their own individually labeled tin. Each tin is hand labeled (the labels appear to be printed on a really nice inkjet, possibly laserjet printer) and I have to give points here just because I love hand labored items. I’ll probably keep these tins forever and most likely use them to store even more shit that I’ll never use.
Now, I’m no tea afficianado, but I’m trying to learn. As I type this I’m drinking the Dragonwell Green Tea; it’s a bit earthy/leafy, but I definitely like it. If you like tea, head over to damnfinetea.com and pick up a tin or two… or the whole set of 3!

My friend Chad Hardin’s blog. Yeah, it’s got stuff like Bang! Pow! and Biff!, only better. Seriously, some hot pencil work coming from this kid. Run don’t walk to your nearest comic book store and pick up some hot copies.
